Julie Anne Morley, the Author

It has finally sunk in.  I am a published writer, a novelist.  I received my author copy last week and it has taken me this long to start to feel like the new skin is mine.  My release party is coming up in just over 3 weeks now and I have been letting my mind wander in earnest about  what I will say to my family,  friends, community members on that day.   My complete happiness is tempered with healthy amounts of anticipation and what I realize that I feel mostly is that I am itching to get back to writing the next book.  I have two books on the back burner as I prepare for Cole Creek’s debut and they are heating up, singing out for their moment of birth.  I am putting the lid on them though and tightly.  I want to enjoy this time, my very own little coming out party, the re-invention of Julie Anne Morley.  So, despite my usual reluctance to shop, I will take myself out and buy something to wear, even get some shoes maybe.  I will relish this day as the fruition of my hard work and the gumption it took for me to keep it all going.  Please join me if you can.
