Cole Creek, A Novel

Julie Anne Morley’s first novel, Cole Creek, is coming soon.  To read the first chapter, go to the writing category and click on Cole Creek, A Novel by Julie Anne Morley

When Rebecca Jackson makes the choice to reclaim her autonomy, three generations of women embark on separate quests to the same remote family cabin in the Sierra that offers each an opportunity to put past demons to rest.  Their journeys become a race to intercept and stop Rebecca’s controlling boyfriend Jason, who is tracking Rebecca’s trail.  Elements of nature combine with the power of ritual to strengthen and aid the women’s chances for survival.  Tension mounts when Rebecca’s protective husband David follows.  Will Rebecca succeed in escaping the misery of her past decisions and find the personal determination to carry on her mission to reunite her family?

Cole Creek illustrates the ability we all have to change the course of our lives.  By allowing themselves to be influenced by their family legacy of mysticism and living closer to the heart, the characters each walk their own path toward reconciliation.  Cole Creek is a fast paced, suspenseful novel about love, hope and redemption.  It is a call to let the heart have its day.

I enjoyed meeting you too Priscilla. Thanks for looking up Cole Creek. It feels like a festival to me already as the release party nears. Thank goodness for Bikram yoga! It keeps me sane. See you at the studio soon.

Yes, my book is on Kindle. Ah, the joy of two houses… Actually, we have been making a transition to living in Idaho for three years and we will make the final move in late May of this year. Two of our adult children will be renting our Santa Cruz house with roommates, so it will be camper living for us when we are back in California. See you soon.
